The project involves the decommissioning of the existing dam structure while prioritizing environmental protection, bank stability, and long-term ecological performance.
Scope of Work
- Decommissioning of the dam including removal of gates, mechanical systems, and electrical components
- Concrete restoration associated with dam decommissioning activities
- Removal and restoration of existing riverbank features
- Installation of vegetated riprap bank protection
- Placement of erosion control rock step down features
- Topsoil placement, planting, and hydroseeding
- Removal and replacement of existing multi use trail
- Installation of new concrete curbs
- Asphalt paving works
- Installation of twin culverts
- All associated site restoration
