Chedoke Creek Rehabilitation

Bronte Construction was pre-qualified and hired by the City of Hamilton to rehabilitate a large section of Chedoke Creek along the 403 Highway in the winter of 2016-17.
This was a complex project involving environmental assessments and numerous consultants, agencies, and ministries.
The strategic commitment from the City of Hamilton integrated a triple bottom line which necessitated an end result which would: enhance the community well-being, enhance the environmental well-being, and enhance the economic well-being.
Project considerations included: ongoing creek bank instability and erosion, slope stability, in-stream works, vegetation, and municipal wastewater drainage systems.
