Cambridge Pedestrian Bridge

Bronte Construction was hired by the City of Cambridge to supply and install a large pedestrian bridge in the summer of 2017 to span the Grand River in Cambridge, Ontario.

This was a large-scale and environmentally sensitive project. The goal of the project was to increase connectivity to the river-scape and to improve pedestrian and cycling connections within downtown Cambridge.

Project considerations included: accessible and enhanced walkways, lighting improvements, landscaping, glass enclosures, a central viewing area to allow for views of the river and surroundings, installation of a new pedestrian bridge, and ensuring the new structure was in keeping with the community.
