Birchmount Culvert Replacement
Project Overview
Bronte Construction was hired to complete the culvert replacement under Birchmount Road for the Massey Creek and under the Don Valley Parkway for the East Don River. The project was split up into 2 phases.
In Phase 1, our team successfully removed two existing CSP steel culverts and replaced them with new precast concrete box culverts. This complex work involved lag shoring, a cofferdam system, and a hydraulic submersible pump to keep Massey Creek flowing smoothly throughout construction.
In Phase 2, Bronte Construction focused on completing the remaining culvert replacements and finalizing this critical infrastructure upgrade.
